Contact your HOA right away to learn their process, submission requirements and timeframe for approval. In some cases, all colors on the home need approval. Once this is obtained, you can forward your color selections to us.
How long does it take to get on the painting schedule?
It depends on what time of year it is. If you call for an estimate in January, February or March you will probably be near the front of the spring painting schedule. If you wait until summer, your home will likely be scheduled in late summer or early fall. It pays to plan ahead!

EXTERIOR PAINTING FAQs

How do I know if my home has dry rot?
If you have questions or concerns about dry rot, please ask well before painting is set to begin. We can make any necessary inspections and repairs in advance of painting.
What do I do to get my home's exterior ready for painting?

We will power wash your home ahead of painting. You don’t need to be home for this, but all windows must be closed and an outside water source available. You can move items like furniture and potted plants away from the perimeter of your home. There is no need to remove or take down exterior fixtures or house numbers. Our crew will either cover or remove these items as necessary.

What other exterior repairs do you handle before painting?

Any type of repairs that would need to be completed ahead of painting, like siding or trim, plus other exterior work such as painting out-buildings like sheds or shops, and painting or staining shutters, pergolas, and railings.

Will my front door also be painted?

Painting the exterior of your front door is included in the paint job. However, staining a door is usually extra as this process takes much longer.

Will you be at my house to paint or prep if it’s raining?
We may do limited prep work in light rain, but we do not paint in the rain or extreme heat.
What do you do if my home's exterior paint is peeling?
We will scrape and prime all necessary areas. There may be an additional cost depending on the extent of the peeling.
Will my home's exterior need a primer if I am changing colors?
Generally, primer is only needed to cover bare wood that has never been painted.
Can I match Sherwin Williams and Miller Paint to my existing colors?
